we are arriving launceston 30/11/08. Depart Launceston 6.30pm 5/12/08. Need an itinerary. Want to see Cradle Mountain, Port Arthur, Hobart, Strahan
Can you suggest an itinarary? we will hire a car.

hi the best way to see tassie is by car .
Firstly it will take you approx 3 hrs to travel to hobart then stay in hobart for two nights on the first day travel to port Arthur and the surrounding coastal area which is just amazing.
then travel to Cradle mountain which is on the way to Strahan make sure you stop off at Derwent bridge and have lunch at the hotel.
then from strahan travel towards burnie and the to Launceston.

I would stay in Luanceston night you arrive, drive to the east coast via Scottsdale through to St Helens, for lunch, then down the caost to eaglehawk neck, there is a motel there for 1 Dec night, then visit Port Arthur in morning and lunch then drive to Hobart for 2 Dec night. Sight seeing around hobart then drive to strahan for 3 Dec night, drive via Queenstown to Cradle Mountain stay 4 Dec night. Then head back to Luanceston to catch flight. Hope that is some help, should be easy drive and let you stop and look at a few things on the way. Good luck.
