| Toronto | Day trip to Niagara Falls, Highlights of Toronto Posted: Thu June 5, 2008 02:58 AM UTC
Hello,
I will be visiting Toronto for the first time at the end of June. All I have planned so far is a Blue Jays game. I was wondering if it is better to book a tour to Niagara Falls or do one of the day tours that I have seen listed? Does anyone know some good tour companies to consider? I also was curious as to what the highlights of Toronto are? Are there any off the beaten path Toronto things to see or do? Thanks in advance, MLW |

Hi - I'd recommend the Hockey Hall of Fame and CN Tower. You can do Niagara in a day - sorry can't recommend a tour company (we drove). Happy Travels!

Check out mine and other's Toronto pages.
As far as Niagara, I would just take a regular bus to the falls and have a walk around. easily done in a day. you may also want to include this jet boat ride (I believe they have a pick up spot in Niagara Falls, but the boat leaves from Naigara-on-the-Lake). http://www.whirlpooljet.com/ http://www.whirlpooljet.com/rates/ $56 CDN or $51 if you book online per adult. I just took my cousin and her daughter (visitors from Scotland) on Thursday past and had a lovely walk around the falls and thoroughly enjoyed the jet boat. I thought it was to go to the base of the falls, but it does not go past the whirlpool in the gorge, as it is blocked by category 6 rapids, so I also recommend taking the maid of the mist tour boat that does go to the base of the falls. you will see the sign and entrance near the falls.
