Mid-June is monsoon season in Goa, many hotels will be closed, rates will be lower. You will have a very relaxing time so long as you are away from the surf. Your travelling options will be limited if it rains very heavily.

I would have thought that Goa, mid-monsoon would be anything but relaxing. After all, don't you go there for the sun, swimming & beach? I was there in January/February many years ago, it was great. If it were me, I would go to Rajastan instead.

Hi

Nah - I find beaches wonderfully enjoyable, I am peaceul when it is calm and I feel exhilerated when the surf is turbulent. I dont need to be in the water all the time and I dont need to have a mob around me. Its not rain or heat or surf that bothers me during the monsoon, its the possibility of being cut-off completely for days on end. There are beaches on the east coast of India where the monsoon is not a big problem, but I am not the expert on them.

In june, it gets very hot all over India, so you need to be careful.People who can take vacations during the summer will head to the hills. Rajasthan will be very hot except for Mount Abu.

June is hot, and in a couple of days time the Monsoon will break - so bring an umbrella! Its nice and peaceful, with mainly domestic tourists. Good for walks along the beach but don't swim!

Lots of hotels to choose from; do a google search on 'Casa Baga', 'Ronil' and Marinha Dourada.

Have fun,

Blu

Blublublu is right ..

you will need a VERY STURDY umbrella, but you should be able to buy it locally, very easily

You might pack a poncho with you - I found ponchos to be of better quality in US than in India

Hi ,

Ive just got back from 6 weeks in India 2 days ago and as everyone as told u it will be very wet...the only problem is if u travel somewhere else the travelling is tough.I may suggest u organise a internal flight on one of there discount airlines Decann air or Indigo ther are about 5 /I flew these 2 and they wre great very new and clean and safe.Pick a destination and go there Ragistan is a huge state but the heat and humidty is huge so it really depends what u are after.I stayed in Poducherry which is the same level but across on the west coast but the humidty was thru the roof and definately no swimming in the ocean..But there is a great 5 star hotel called Hotel Boulevard which is $110 a night and has a pool...ciao

Sun Village resort in Baga is very Good. They are not very close to the beach, but they have a free service to the beach all through the day.The resort has got some good food and drinks, they serve unlimited free drinks during your stay, which will be a part of your package. Clean pool, open air resturant, live music..wow.. the resort is too good to miss..June is not that active month for Goa, but we were in july last year, loved the rain. Hired a bike and ride in the rain was simply awesome..!!
