| Vienna | Latin Clubs in Vienna Posted: Tue June 3, 2008 02:12 PM UTC
Hello,
will be for two days in Vienna, from sunday 15. of june unto tuesday 17. of june and we are searching for good latin dance clubs. Does anybody have any good tips where to go? I Had a look for some clubs like El Dorado, Club Habana or Floridita, but the dates of those homepages are often not that up to date. I appreciate every kind of info or tip, thanks in advance Holli |

Hi, I`ve just been to Floridita and Club Habana - and I certainly prefer Floridita. Club Habana is too small and crowded for my taste (although this might be different from Su-Tue). As far as I know Floridita also offers dancing classes, so you`ll find some "serious dancers" there. I think they post their weekly programme on their website.

Hi Coccinella,
thanks a lot for your answer. this time I am not that much searching for serious dancing than more for a good latin ambience...but respect to dancing -- can you (or someone else) tell me where the music is more cuban style? muchas gracias por adelantado, Holli

HI, Holli!
Iī'm sorry, I have to tell you that vienna in special is really no latindance-city. And you are here from sunday to tuesday ... most clubs are closed these days. Here's my tip ;) See (@ links): http://www.lai.at/ or visit it at monday - people there could help you finding a nice location ;)

Hi Heksli,
thank you for your answer. Well, I thought so already, even in the bigger cities it is difficult to find some good parties on sunday or monday, but anyway I wanted to try. Will try out the LAI page, thanks for that. servus Holli

Thanks again for the tips.
I have been sunday and monday night in the Latin Club Floridita in the Johannesgasse 3. It was quite crowded, and as I was told, not only because of the Euro Cup. Music was a very good mix, especially more than usual cuban salsa songs ( at least as I am used to in other clubs - and that is the style I like most). The audience was quite mixed, and letīs say it like this: "enough" Latinos for a good atmosphere of a LATIN Club and not only a Salsa-Dancefloor. By the way, on monday night there shall be always Live-Music. As I arrived late, I didnīt see it, but there was a little Dance Show (not sure if this was program or just by chance). On sunday night I always wanted to try the Club El Dorado in the same street, Johannesgasse 20, but when I arrived there at around 1am in the morning they already closed meanwhile Floridita was open until at least 3am.
