Hi,
I am travelling soon to Hurghada, and i have read in several places about sharks in the red sea! i am travelling with my young nephews and am worried about them swimming/snorkeling in the sea......CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE????? |

There's nothing to worry about specially in hurghada because there are 0% of sharks all around the city either from the beaches of the hotels or even if you go on a boat trip to one of the islands or the reefs far from the shore for snorkelling.

it is however worth remebering, from a safety and a conservation point of view, that while snorkelling over coral reefs you shouldnt touch ANYTHING. and it is a FANTASTIC hting to see!!

Well, there are sharks and sharks!!!! No great white sharks in the Red Sea area!!! But there are hammer head sharks, which pose no threath to humans! People are snorkling and diving to come across these creatures.
Never heard of a JAWS experience in the Red Sea. So, just cool down and enjoy... Dora.
