I'll be arriving to Marrakesh around 19:00 hrs--does anyone know if collective taxis are still available to Essaouira around this time?

Don't know about the collective taxis there, but you can always find a shared taxi to almost anywhere. If not, there are busses that head to Essaouira all the time. We took a bus and it was great. Busses are usually cheaper, safer, and more comfortable. Just my opinion. We loved Essaouira. We followed a kid with a luggage cart from the bus station to an apartmentin the city. It was cheap and really nice. Sorry I don't have the name.

Collective or shared taxi's go when they are full, usually with 6 people crammed in like sardines. You will find them at a taxi station close to Bab Dukala. There will be taxi's at the airport to take you to Essaouira but will be costly, unless you can share with other passengers. Your best option is to stay overnight in Marrakech and take the 8.30am Supratours bus. It might be a good idea to book your ticket the evening before.

You can take a taxi to essaouia either alone or with another passenger.The cost is about 100 € to Essaouira.In fact better than a shared taxi where you will be crammled like sardines.

If you have accommodation booked in Essaouira, you could ask them to order you a taxi (transfer) it should cost 600Dh (60EU)
