Train from Los Boliches to Malaga

We are going to the Yaramah Hotel next week and want to go on the train from Los Boliches station to Malaga. I know you have to put money into ticket machine on platform but I am a bit nervous of this as its obviously in Spanish and I can't understand the instructions!!!! Any ideas on how much it costs and how to overcome the language barrier, I do try to ask for fares on bus in Spanish but I'm not too good. Lol

My reading of the RENFE website says that a return ticket from Los Boliches to Malaga (Maria Zambrano station) will cost you €2.90.

Los Boliches is in Zone 4 of the Malaga Suburban network; the city itself is Zone 0. Note that the section of line beyond Maria Zambrano to Malaga Centro Alameda is currently closed for improvement work. I don't know how far that leaves you short of the city centre.
