Is it possible to cross with a car rented in Serbia thru the border into Kosovo?

One word NO!!
Firstly Serbian rentacar agency will not isue you green card, as they still think Kosovo & Metohija as part of Serbia, without one can not sross the border. Also when Albanians in Kosovo, see SER reg car , they will vandalise it! Simple as that. You can meaby try to take the car to Kosovska Mitrovica-Serbian part, bat that is doubfull. No way you can go to Pec, Prishtina, Prizren and so on...Visit the monasteries... If you rented car in Macedonia, you can take that car into Kosovo & Metohija. Otherwise I sugest bus.
