| Rhodes (Island) | West coast accomodation Posted: Mon June 2, 2008 01:38 PM UTC
Hello,
My boyfriend and I are coming to Rhodes in July to kitesurf, visit the island & sleep off the stress of the city. Does anyoneone know where we can find an appartment, B&B, small hotel on the west coast (far enough South not to be in the line of the airport)? Up in the hills would also be great. Thank you, Claire |

If you intend doing a lot of wind or sand surf maybe Prasonnissi will be your best option - although there are other areas o the island which have some facilities the best is there on the tip of the island where the med meets the aegean - its a small area with a few apartments but is accessible if you intend to hire a car - rhodes town to prasonissi takes about an hour -( i think ) check with one of the members who live of the island for more ideas
have fun I love Rhodes

there are some B&B places in kameiros skala, which is a lovely location, half way down the west coast.
I have a video on youtube called rhodes west coast. you will see kritinia castle, whci is close by and a couple of outstanding fish restaurants. There is a lovely little cove just south of the fishing harbour. clearest water and best snorkelling I found anywhere in rhodes.

if you would like to try a place up in the hills, Try Siana. its famous for honey. its a calm and sleepy place, seems quite like its frozen in time. I guess if you are prepared to trvale and stop in different places it would be worth considering for one night.
