arriveing there in afew weeks well 2 tomorrow ,
are there tours and trips from there or do i need to go the otherside everytime?
also easy enough from the airport is it?
its only a short trip, dont want to waste much time wandering aimlessly

Hi, it depends really what you want to do. If you want to stay in Phuket Town it will take you approximately 20-30 minutes to the beaches of Patong, Karon and Kata and to do boat trips out to the Islands it will take you 20 minutes to reach the marinas. Bear in mind that it really only takes a couple of hours to get from north to south so it just depends where you want to base yourself. Patong is the busiest and most touristy part of the Island.

In relation to how far the Airport is it again depends where you are basing yourself. Airport to Patong is approximately 35mins.

There are several trips you can book the day you arrive such as elephant trek, Island Tours, sea canoe trips, thai cooking, water rafting ..... plenty to keep you busy for a couple of days. Check out Tina's guide to give you a run down on the Island.
