| Moscow | Moving to Moscow from NYC Posted: Sun June 1, 2008 07:04 AM UTC
Hi Moscow members...I'm moving to Moscow in September. Any recommendations on where I should live? I hear the rents are expensive. What is the size of the average Moscow apartment and the average monthly rent? Thanks.

You should rent as clode as possible to the place you are going to work.
Moscow is one large traffic jam... Prices vary depending on the area you decide for... Good luck!

Good place to look for long term apartments rents.
http://www.expat.ru/forum/apartments/ I like the area around the TSVETNOY BOULEVARD metro stop, plenty restaurants and nightlife in the center.

Thanks for the leads. Really helpful. Any of you ever visit Tyumen? I can take the job in there or in Moscow.

If you are real NYer you will love Moscow! ;) I think both have many common features.
Tyumen is quite different as it is much smaller (in population). I've been there only for business trips and cann't say about everyday life. P.
