| Prince Rupert | Things to do in Prince Rupert Posted: Sat May 31, 2008 08:57 PM UTC
We are going to be in Prince Rupert on Thurs. July 3 from 4pm to 10pm. We are looking for things to do. How about a good place to eat? Things to see? etc.
We are coming in on a cruise ship. |

Dont know much about Prince Rupert, but we are cruising (Alaska) in September and found the best help for ports of call on "cruise-critic dot com" .

Hi - about two weeks ago we did a private excursion to Khutzeymateen, a Grizzly Bear Sanctuary. We booked with Palmerville Adventures. One of the highlights was seeing a sow and her 2 cubs from a boat about 10 feet away. We were in a small private boat so we were able to get in very close and watched them playing for a long time. Greg from Palmerville lives there and knows a lot about the bears and their routines. This excursion is also offered by the cruiseline (at least it was by RCI). It is all done by boat (from PR to the sanctuary). Since it is a larger boat, they are not able to get in as close though. With Palmerville you take a sea plane to the sanctuary. Definitely one of the highlights of our cruise! Happy Travels!
