How long does it take to get from Porto Allegre to Buenos Aires? I would like to know the options, air, bus, train.......... etc.

A bus trip from Porto Alegre/BR to Buenos Aires/Arg is around 19Hs long.
There is no train service between Porto Alegre and Buenos Aires yet. A jet flight from Porto Alegre to Buenos Aires lasts 1hour 45min http://www.pluma.com.br/ Cassiovieggore

Oi Konabear,
A good airline to look at is www.golairlines.com.br. They have some interesting discounts from time to time for flights around Brasil. From PA to BA, you might be looking at $160 dollars or so.....unless the price of jet fuel goes a LOT higher in the next few months! That bus trip is rather nice, and not as hard as one would imagine. (I did it a year back!) Besides, it will give you a chance to practice your Spanish & Portuguese! Boa viagem! JAC

Aerolineas Argentinas also flys that route. the last time i was checking (about a week ago), i managed to find some flights that were cheaper than Gol. first time i have seen this though.
