Hi all,
I've tried to check on artesia train website but I couldnt find it... I plan to take the night train from Florence to Paris (the Artesia train) but then I'm wondering if the route is going through Switzerland. The problem is that I'm not EU citizen and if we go via Swiss then I'll need additional visa. Thanks before! |

This train does indeed go through Switzerland, so you will need a Swiss visa. After nov. 1st a Schengen Visa will be sufficient though.

If you don't want to go through Switzerland, try trenitalia.com, I'm pretty sure you can get to Paris via Milan, without going into Switzerland.

If you buy a ticket for the Firenze - Paris night trains from Trenitalia you will be on the Artesia night train that goes through Switzerland. If you want to travel Firenze - Paris by train and avoid Switzerland you will have to take the daytime connections via Milano and Torino.
