I would like an apartment in Damascus for July. I will be studying Arabic at Damascus University.
I have heard the old city is nice. Where/how can I find a place to stay for the month? I would prefer my own apartment (studio or one bedroom) but might be willing to share under the right circumstances. Please post your responses and some way to contact you. Thanks! ABU BB |

Hi. I came from an Arabic speaking country, have similar culture and background like the Syrian. My advice after very bad experiences with taxi drivers and rented apartment is to be very careful because economy is very bad and people very greedy. book a hotel for 2-3 days then go around and check apartments before committing yourself, otherwise you end up paying lots of money in a dirty flat. Be very careful as people have ways you can't afford to handle.

in www.yallahouse.com you can find lots of possibilities for your accommodation in Damascus - Syria.. Appartments, rooms, houses, with syrian families or without ..!! and the people working on it are so cool I got to know one of them when i first came here .. they are helpful and professionals .. you can just contact them or request one of the rooms in the website and they will answer you fast..
