Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Tokyo voltage converter
Posted: Thu May 29, 2008 08:12 PM UTC
Hello!

In July I will move from Sweden to Tokyo and I have a desktop computer that I would like to bring with me. The problem is that that it runs on 220V and in Tokyo I heard it is only 100V. I seen some voltage converters on internet but I have not been able to find one that converts from 100V to 220V. Im thinking of buying one that is quite powerful, between 500-1000W.

Any ideas on where in Tokyo I could find such a voltage converter?

Thanks for your help!

/Daniel

Thanks SfumatoPants! I will go to this place when Im in Tokyo and check it out. Looks like a very interesting place! :)

On the link you sent I can see that the is a converter that is on 130W. I dont understand Japanese so it is little bit hard to search on that page. Do you know if they have a converter for at least 500W?

I was also thinking about getting a new PSU for my computer, then I could get one that runs on 100V instead of the one that I have in my computer now. Then I would not need the voltage converter for my computer but perhaps for some other things that I will bring.
