Nassau dining

We are trying to feed a family of 5 in the Bahamas. We are staying at the Atlantis and I am torn about buying their dining plan. Any suggestions? Can I bring food such as granola bars into the Bahamas in my checked luggage? Is it safe to eat dinner out on the island?

Haven't stayed at Atlantis, so I can't tell you about their meal plan, but there are alot of good clean restaurants downtown. You will probably pay quite a bit more than an a meal plan but the food will be alot better
As for bringing food in, as long as it is prepackaged food, and you aren't bringing enough to go into retail, you can bring it in
