Nerja Travel Forum

Hi, We have been to Nerja for the last 3 years ( 5 times in total ) with our 2 young children and Love it but it is time for a change. Any advice on simlar ( quiet with a good restaraunt or 2 ) places along the coast ?

Difficult to answer. I am sure that there may be some nice places further east along the Costa Tropical. But have not yet visited.
However I have been to the Costa de la Luz and there are some good sandy clean Atlantic (not Med) beaches west of Gibraltar. CONIL is one popular town in summer with a huge beach and more activity in the town than most.
Another town that is very popular with Spanish & English is CHICLANA and hte seaside called NOVO SANCTI PETRI. Barrosa beach is again awesome.

Go further along the coast in the direction of Almeria. Just passed Motril you'll come to Calahona and even smaller is Castelle de Faro. Really good beaches, fish restaurants - Spaniards holiday here. I really enjoyed last August lazing about here...of course there's always Salobrena too.

I live in Cadiz on the Costa del Luz - crazy busy here in high season, no space on the beach - the accomodation prices go OTT too.
