Hi all,
I am going to Delhi for the 3rd time in 2 years with my hubby,we have our 1st wedding anniv to be celebrated there,so I have planned a surprise trip for my hubby, as he loves Delhi. We have seen most of the historic places in Delhi in our earlier trips, so I need to make this as a unique one.We are in UK now,I have some questions and hope you can answer...... 1.I have Booked a hotel called 'Avalan Courtyard' near Airport on the Gurgon highway, how good is the hotel? Is it easily accessible to the city? 2. I want to show him some Offbeat places in Delhi, any suggestions? 3. Need suggestion for a good rooftop resturants,in an affordable scale price or any other good resturants? 4. Finally, how about the weather in July? Sorry,i have too many questions, but I have planned this as a surprise trip for my hubby, everytime he took me there, but this time I wanna give him the much deserved surprise...Kindly please help me to have a good trip... Regards, Priya Manishankar. |

The hotel is pretty much in one corner of Delhi and you will be spending a lot of time cimmuting back and forth . There are a few rooftop restaurants that I am aware of - Stone's in Defence Colony , Essex farms near IIT & Sahara in Vasant Kunj . Sahara of all of the abovementioned would be closest to your hotel but the other two are definitely more upmarket and have a younger and trendier clientile. Go thru my delhi page . Might find something useful
