You mean Torp (Sandefjord)?
The easy way is by train, and the cheap way is by bus. It is quite some distance though...

...and by "international airport" I guess you mean Oslo Gardermoen? (Torp is an international airport too...;o)

For information about transport to / from Torp airport, see www.torp.no (Bus from Torp to Oslo city centre takes almost two hours, and then you'll have to add at least another 40 minutes or so if you want to continue to Gardermoen by bus. Which means that you'll need quite a bit of time between your flights!)

I've got about 2.5h between flights (but I have to be earlier so much less). I'm flying from Poland to Oslo Torp, and then from Oslo to Molde with SAS... on my reservation I've got that it's from Oslo International Apt...
From SAS site i see that they serve Gardermoen Apt...
How should I do this to get from one apt to another on time?

Oslo Gardermoen's airport code is OSL.

If you're landing at Sandefjord Torp, then there's no way you'll get to Oslo Gardermoen in time for a flight leaving 2 1/2 hours later...

I think that will be very hard to manage even by train. There is a highspeed train from Oslo that takes only 20 minutes to Gardemoen, but you still need to get to Oslo from Torp. I'm not sure how good the train connections are there

You arrive at Torp at 13.45 and plan to leave Gardermoen at 15.15? There's absolutely no way you will make that flight... Just the drive between the airports (car/taxi, not bus) Torp-Gardermoen would take...at least two hours? And you'd need time to check in at Gardermoen, pick up your luggage at Torp...

I suggest changing flights to at least 6 hours between.

All the replies above are correct, there is no way you can make that flight to Molde. I'll try to list all the options i know about.

A later flight to Molde is not available that day (I checked), so if you want to go by plane you have to get an earlier flight into Torp, or find a flight that goes to Gardermoen (OSL) where the flight to Molde is, instead of Torp. There are not even a late train connection to Andalsnes that day, normaly there would be a train to Andalsnes with bus connection to Molde, but not on saturdays.

If you cant switch the flight into Oslo you have only 3 options:
1. Take the bus to Oslo, and catch the overnight bus to Molde, it departs from Oslo Bus terminal at 22.00 and arrives in Molde at 07.10 on the morning of the 22nd.
2. You can get an hotelroom in Oslo or Gardermoen and catch a flight the next day.
3. Rent a car and drive all the way to Molde, but that is a 9-10 hours drive....

Are you actually going to Molde, or somewhere in the Molde area. I might be able to give you some additional tips if that is tha case.

Ohh, forgot to paste the link to the overnight bus to Molde:

http://www.dagognattekspressen.no/

(English flag in the top left corner)

The bus is about 600 NOK full price, a bit cheaper if you book online...

Thanks for replying :) I'm going to Molde for summer practices ;)
I think that I resign from flight Gdansk-Oslo with Wizzair and book flight with Norwegian, but it's 20July so I have to find some place to sleep there ;) It gives me possibility to take a look around Oslo ;)
But I have to consider option with taking bus...

After all i think that it would be easier and cheaper to take those bus... Oslo is worth spending more time than few hours so I'd visit it another time ;)
Could you write me which of bus stops is the nearest (easiest to get) from Torp?

Hi again,

For the buss option:
You will need to take the airport bus from Torp to Oslo Bus terminal, then switch to the bus called "Dag og Nattekspressen" (route no 142, operated by Norway Bussekspress).

But I am a bit confused, earlier I thought you said it was June 21st, but now you said it was on the 20th? Which date is it? Because on the 20th there are later flight from Gardermoen(OSL) to Molde...

Oh, sorry I think I understood it anyway, the Norwegian flight is on the 20th. And the Wizzair flight is on the 21st. Finding hotel in Oslo during summer is actually very hard and expensive, so I would recommend getting from Gdansk to Molde on the same day, or to take the overnight bus.

If you are considering going with Norwegian on the 20th there are later fligts from Gardermoen to Molde, It looks like the flight from Gdansk arrives at Gardermoen at 19.50. There is a flight from the same airport to Molde at that evening 22.45. The price for Gardermoen-Molde on that flight is about 600 NOK at the moment. (www.sas.no).

Hope that was helpfull! Have a nice trip :)

I am also going to Oslo and arriving at Torp. It is frustrating, they sell the ticket but only later we realise how far away from the centre it actually is. What a pain...
anyway, the quickest way is by train and the cheapest is by bus, right?

How much are we talking about?

Thanks everyone for the help.

See nsb.no for info about train travel in Norway; ticket price Sandefjord - Oslo central train station ca 200 NOK one way.

For info about the bus, see www.torpekspressen.no - ticket price 180 NOK

Hi

Like FletteMette pointet out you could take the bus (which i believe takes you all the way to/from Oslo).

But I just want to mention that if you want to take the train you should go to the new Torp trainstation, this trainstation is not actually at the airport, but there is a shuttle bus from Torp train station to Torp airport, and the shuttle bus is included in the price of the trainticket. Taking the train like FletteMette mentioned to Sandefjord would be a little bit of a detour now that the new train station has opened (as of January 21st 2008). Full price ticket is 212. Discount ticket is 199 NOK, so it is hardly worth the effort of booking ahead....

Thank you for the info. I am just scared of buying ahead in case there is a delay on my flight or something and I would need to buy a new ticket.
