We are going to KK for 4D3N (stay in the town center) in November 08.

Questions :
Is Rasa Ria Orang Utan rehab center open for public ? If yes, is booking required ? Any contact number, or email / website ? How far is it from KK town ?

We are arriving from KUL by Air Asia. Is there any car rental in Terminal 2 at KK Airport ?

Is it ok to make a daytrip to Kinabalau Park + Poring ? How far is the park from KK town ?

Is it difficult to find places in KK as we are driving ? Where can i get road map for KK & surrounding areas ?

It seems that roger had answered most of your enquiries. If you have time a visit to the Turtle Island fron Sandakan is an adventure. Its an overnight stay and boat trip of approx 40k.....but It is well worth it. An alternative to the Rasa Ria is the famous Sepilok Sanctuary. Trips from KK to the outlying islands and also trips up the Kinabatangan River early morning to see the Proboscis Monkeys. Climb the Mountain...... I envy you as I worked there for 6 months and I wanna go back ...Enjoy

In case you haven't gotten the answer, just to let you know that it is ok to make a daytrip to Kinabalu Park & Poring. The park is about 2 hours drive from the city.
