| Alghero | Looking for further sea fishing info... Posted: Sun May 25, 2008 03:03 PM UTC
Hi,I noted the information provided about sea fishing in response to a previous question, however I was wondering if anyone could please advise where we would be able to rent a small boat and fishing equiptment? Also are there any dangerous currents or anything of the like to be aware of around Porto Conte if we were to swim off the boat?

Hi,
I'm sorry to say that renting a boat in Sardinia is not going to be easy. Most of the vessels are working fishing boats. Renting sea going boats is not common. There are charter boats available with skippers for morning, afternoon, or full day fishing trips on the Costa Smerelda (the east coast). You will find several charters available in the Golfo Aranci area When you get to Alghero, I suggest you go to the local tourist office and make further enquiries.
