There is also the option of flying Bourgas-Katowice/Krakow.
Wizzair operates this route and the flight is scheduled in the mornings. You can take an overnight bus to Bourgas and take the plane. The transfer to Krakow costs about 10 euros, as is the price of the Sofia-Bourgas bus, as well. The price of flying and bus transfers will be quite comparable to the price of the train with sleepers/berths, I guess. Hope that helps.
