Madrid Madrid to Tarifa, travel by train
Posted: Sun May 25, 2008 03:18 AM UTC
We hope to travel from Madrid to Tarifa by train, at least in part. I'm confused.
It appears that AVE high speed trains are available to Sevilla and/or Cordoba.
Then what? From Cordoba to Ronda, presumably by local train, or perhaps we should consider renting a car in Cordoba then driving to Tarifa? We will be spending a week along the Costa del Sol, various locations between Tarifa & Nerja, then departing from Malaga back to the US. Any thoughts? Thanx.

You can go by train either to Cádiz or Algeciras, then, bus to Tarifa. For trians, www.renfe.es; although is a tricly web, there is an english version and you can get up to 60% discount if you book two weeks in advance (web tariff) or star (less discount).
