Can anyone recommend a good bus company from San Pedro to Salta and do you know how frequent they are?

Sorry, you need it this way round:
http://www.sanpedroatacama.com/ingles/ir.htm Buses depart Wednesday and Sunday at 10.45am and 11.30am, depending on the company you use (Turbus or Geminis).
