Tokyo Naeba ski-ing
Posted: Sat May 24, 2008 11:05 AM UTC
I am planning to go ski-ing in Naeba around the last week of December. What are the school vacation days of High School and College Students in Japan during December? I heard it can be very crowded so I would like to avoid going when it is school vacation time. Thanks.

Tokyo Re: Naeba ski-ing-re school holidays in Japan

School holidays in Japan usually take place from the end of March through the beginning of April, from the end of July until the end of August, and over the New Year period from 24 December to 7 January.

There's also the Emperor's birthday on Dec.23 which is a National Holiday

Note: If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following day is treated as a holiday. If a day falls between two holidays then it too is treated as national holiday.
