Krakow Bars
Posted: Sat May 24, 2008 06:10 AM UTC
are there quieter bars for mature people in the centre. I mean a bar without loud music or frenzied activity for young 18-30 types just a bar for a older straight single bloke to mix with locals dont get me wrong like to have fun too.

I didn't have any problems finding somewhere pleasant to have a drink in central Krakow (can't remember names now though). There is plenty of choice, both in Rynek Glowny and in the surrounding streets.

There are many nice bars in the city centre. If you want no loud music end quiet atmosphere you could just sit outdoors at the tables of the bars in Rynek Glowny or try Galeria Camelot, that' not far away from the square.
I wrote a tip about it: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/t/19a953/2/77aeb/0/

Camelot is cool...
but anyway, Krakow's bars are so unique and different from each other that I really think you should just stroll through many of them and find your favorite.
At night the Old TOwn is like bee hive and all doors are open. It is OK to snoop around. Everybody can find his/her favorite bar in Krakow (they have milk bars too, lol ;-)
Each time we are in Krakow we go to different places, but we never miss Cafe Camelot (see my pictures) they are open early and have fantastic breakfast, and the night atmosphere is kind of bohemian ;-)
