I am goin to HK by next month, I wanted to visit shenzhen as well to see WOW...
where can I get a visa going to mainland?

What are the requirements and how much would it cost me?

How soon can I obtain a Visa?

How much would it cost me?

Do I just need a single entry visa for this? I have a hotel booking back in HK,I am planning to go here just to see WOW.

How do I get to WOW?

How much is the entrance fee going to WOW?

Your profile doesn't say which country you are from . Most Visa's depend on the nationality of your passport

There are a lot of difficulties with China visas at the moment. I think you need to get one in your home country. Check here:

To get to WoW, take MTRC (KCR as was) to Lowu. Cost HK$33, takes 45 minutes. Walk across bridge into China. (allow 1 hour) Find the Shenzhen metro station underneath the Luohu mall. Take the metro to Window of the World station (Shijiezhichuang). That's the opposite end of the line. Fare about 5RMB, takes 30 minutes.
I think entrance to WoW is about 140RMB, maybe less.
There are three attractions all close to each other.
WoW has world miniatures except China. Splendid China is similar, has all China only. There is also Happy Kingdom, which is more of a Disney type amusemnt park, but I inagine your 2-year old would not be amused!

it will be more simple to get your visa in manila the consulat is in new world tower in gil puyat ave and the visa is 1400pesos for filipino and 4 foreigner 1700 ( not usa)

Hi! thanks a lot for the info! Also, I want to ask for few tips. Here's my itinerary I have prepared for our trip...I just don't know if this is accurate, I actually based everything on the NET...I didn't get the packages / tours and decided to DO IT MYSELF... hope it works:

Day 1: Depart Manila June 19, 2008, Thursday at 8:00 am (Check PASSPORTS, VISA, IDs, Birth Certificate, Marriage contract, MONEY >> BIBLE)

Arrive HK at 10:00 am
Check out Airport at 11:00am
Proceed to the Hotel via AIRBUS / CITYBUS - - A21 $33 x 2 adults = $66 + $16.50 child = $82.50 (P 495 round trip = P 990) travelling time approximately 1 hour
Check in HOTEL at 2:00 pm
Depart for CHINA at 3:00pm
Transpo: MTR – Prince Edward to Kowloon to Lo Wu - - $35 + $18 = $88 (P 528 one way / RT P 1056) travelling time approx 46 mins
From Lo Wu (border) to Window of the World - -

Transpo: >> Once you exit from China Immigration, you can find a taxi stand nearby for about 30 minutes ride about 80 RMB. Taxis are metered and charge 12.5 RMB flag fall.

Via TAXI $ 92 RMB (1RMB = P 6.25) (P 575 one way / RT P1150) travelling time: 30 mins

>> Once you exit from China Immigration, walk thru the Lo Wu Commercial Center and go to the ground Level where you can find a huge Bus Terminal at Shenzhen Railway Station before Shangri-la Hotel. Find and board Bus No.101 or Bus no. 204 for about an hour ride to Window of the World (5 RMB).

Via BUS $ 15 RMB (P93.75 one way / RT P 187.50) travelling time: 1 hour

>> Or, walk through the Lo Wu Commercial Center and go to the ground Level where you can find the Shenzhen Railway Station. Get on the Shenzhen Metro Line Trains and get off at the last station - Window of the World, about 45 minutes ride (5 RMB).

Via TRAIN $ 15 RMB (P93.75 one way / RT P 187.50) travelling time: 45 mins

Fees: 120RMB for adults (2 adults) 240RMB = P 1500

60 RMB for kids 60 RMB = P 375



Arrive in Window of the World at 5:00 pm (maximum), Time allotted for WOW >> at least 2 hours. WOW is open until 9:30pm

Back to HK at ___?__ pm.
REST and prepare for Disneyland tomorrow!



Day 2: Wake up at 7:00am – Breakfast inside HOTEL
Prepare for Disneyland (Park’s Operating Hours: 10.00am – 9:00pm)

Leave Hotel at 9:00 am

Transpo: >>MTR Prince Edward Station to Disneyland Resort . Travelling time: 30 mins
PAY: $ 16.20 x 2 adults = $ 32.40 and $ 8.10 kid = $ 40.50 (P 243 one way / RT P 486)
Fees: $295 x 2 adults (Althea, FOC) = $590 = P 3540
Leave Disney after Fireworks at 8:00pm
Back to Hotel > > > REST or go to night MARKET



Day 3: Wake up at 7:00am – breakfast outside HOTEL
Prepare for Ocean Park (Park’s operating hours: 10:00am to 6:00pm)
Leave Hotel at 9:00 am
Transpo: >>MTR Prince Edward Station to Admiralty. Travelling time: 12 mins
PAY: $ 9.20 x 2 adults = $ 19 and $4.8 kid = $ 23.80 (P 143 one way / RT P 286)

>>From Admiralty take BUS No. 629 (Citybus). Travelling time: unknown
PAY: $ 10.60 x 2 adults = $ 21.20 and $ 5.30 kid = $ 26.50 (P 160 one way / RT 320)

Fees: $ 208 x 2 adults (Althea, FOC – Free of charge) = $ 416 = P 2496
Leave the park before 4.30pm if possible to catch the bus…if not, take a cab to go back to the HOTEL.

Fees: $ 170 x 2 pax = $ 340 = P 2040

Will this sched works? Hope you could help. I am so unsure with the travelling time for each destination. Is two hours enough for WOW?
If we will leave Mongkok at 3pm for Shenzhen...is it that late?
