will give you initial train times. Takes 8 - 11 hours, depending on train. The Austrian railway site will give you fares as well as times: http://www.oebb.at/en/index.jsp Flights vary in cost according to when you want to fly, and with whom. These carriers service the route: Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Air One, Skyeurope. Check their websites for your dates. Booking earlier is (often much) cheaper than booking later. Check hold baggage allowance and check-in times (and remember to factor in onward transport from Venice Treviso or Marco Polo airports).
