Ko Phangan Full Moon Accommadation
Posted: Thu May 22, 2008 11:30 AM UTC
Right so folks,
There is a bunch of us headin to the full moon party, I see there is a load of places to stay around Haad Rin, can anyone recommend any place to stay in the town somewhere, where you have stayed, we are looking for a place that is priced around 200 bath or less even, just looking for something simple a hut with a bed and a net, no bugs under the bed, thats all I ask thanks.
Please note it was me that left the message blow, I'm not crazy I just but the town Haat Yi instead of Haad Rin.
By the way Haad rin is a strange oul place well it was wneh i was there plenty of rodents on the streets....

I don't think you're going to be able to find a place for 200 baht, especially if you want to stay in town.
Many of those "loads" of places are quite a trek from town, and you'll have to cab it in and out, at a cost of 100 baht each person each way (and you need 4 ppl before the taxi will even leave).
Sea Breeze and Same Same are two good spots (same same is pretty new), well located, clean etc etc...but i think ud be looking at 4-500 per person.
me and my gf stayed in seabreeze for 500 baht/night, queen size bed and the bungalow was large-ish so you could prolly fit two more on the floor if need be.
Ive also been there solo, in low season, and i was paying about 350/night (in a pretty nice place on the beach, i forget the name of it - but, if you were facing the ocean on the main beach...the last place on your right)

If you cant book in advance, be sure to get there at least 2 days early if you can.

I think that you will struggle to get an okay place that is bug free for less than 200 B. Why not stay on one of the beaches on the Island. You can get a better deal and you can still get a taxi to the full Moon party. We paid 450B last year in Haad Rin and still had bed bugs, We stayed in better places around the Island for less. Have a look at my page for ideas.
