| Córdoba | Looking for nice, well-located, maybe quirky hotel in Cordoba Posted: Wed May 21, 2008 02:24 PM UTC
Hi,
I'll be in Cordoba for two nights in June and wonder if you can recommend any really nice, but not too expensive hotels in good locations in the centre of town? Thank you very much for your help. L |

It looks like you are planning trip to Andalusia. This once-great stronghold of Muslim Spain is rich in history and tradition, containing some of the country's most celebrated treasures: the world-famous Mezquita (mosque) in Córdoba, the Alhambra in Granada, and the great Gothic cathedral in Seville. Give Andalusia at least a week and you'll still have only skimmed the surface. In order to save time book your hotels with the Tour Operator and get their suggestions. They are certainly the experts. You can book entire package with them, including accommodation, ground transfers and sightseeing. It can save you money on a long run. One I can suggest is Escapade Vacations. I used them when I traveled to Portugal. Another you can try is Totally Spain. They have a very good selection of the hotels in Spain.

bfriend, I don't think that someone asking for "nice, maybe quirky" places will be satisfied by a package holiday ;) For some of us, planning a trip and looking for accommodation is not a waste of time, but part of the pleasure of traveling
scotsgirl, I've not been to Andalucia lately so I can't comment on specific places, but I had found very nice places in other areas trough http://www.rusticae.es/english/ this other has very nice places but usually more expensive http://www.domusselecta.com/en/ Have a great trip!
