I´ll be doing some traveling shortly and rather than take a duffel back which distributes the weight awkwardly when you carry it, I´d like to invest in an actual ¨backpackers¨ bag. Is there anywhere in Buenos Aires where I can buy one..thanks! I m on a funky keyboard so I couldnt even type the question mark..but thank you.

there is a store in the centro on Carlos Pelligrini i think between Cordoba and Corrientes that has that type of gear.

Rather than getting ripped off at places like the prvious posting suggested, take 20 minutes to go to Forest Ave and Olleros (subway B, station Lacroze) and visit the Montagne or any of the other outlets there to get a great deal for little money.

Try the Montagne store at Esmeralda Street, between Sarmiento and Av. Corrientes. Half block from Corriente Ave. on the Southest part of Esmeralda.
You will find nearly in front of that shop another one, in an old fashion wooden style. Check also there.

i have found Montagne and the store in the centro i mentioned to have similar prices.
