Lago di Garda Travel Forum

Hello,

We are going to Garda lake (Bardolino or Garda, in the east side of Garda lake) in July. We will fly even to Milan or Venezia. Could someone give us tips, is it better to arrive Garda from Milan or Venezia? How good/bad are bus connections from these town to Bardolino, and how long it takes?
And also one further question: can you recommend some reasonable and nice private apartment/hostel/hotel in Bardolino?

This should answer most of your questions.

Better to fly in Milan Or Venice?

The distance is more or less the same, but Venice Marco Polo should be easier, being closer ti the Trenitalia station of Mestre (the mainland of Venice)

Milan has 2 airports (Malpensa and Linate). Linate is closer to the central station. Someone counts Begramo Orio Al Serio as a Milan airport.... But from there connections to the lake are quite difficult.
