Dover From Heathrow to Dover (Leyburne Rd)
Posted: Tue May 20, 2008 08:36 AM UTC
Hi There

I have a specific destination to go to at Dover:
Godwyne Hurst
2, Leyburne Rd
Dover Kent CT16 1SN

How do I reach there from Heathrow airport? An estimate of the travel cost and the time taken will also be helpful.

cheers

heathrow underground into charing cross station and change for dover priory looks your best option check out www.nationalrailenquiries for specific dates and timings

then take a taxi to the address you can ask at information in dover rail station - it may be within walking distance of the station

Easiest way would be to take a coach from Heathrow Central Bus Station. You can book through to Dover. One-way full adult fare is £16.10. Journey time is 4 - 5 hrs, including a 40 minute wait in London Victoria.
www.nationalexpress.com

The street you want is pretty close to the centre - looks walkable.

The bus station is more or less where are the letters P.G. south of Leyburne, corner of Maison Dieu and the unnamed street A256

UK long-distance coach travel is generally cheaper than train, but also usually takes longer.

For train times and fares look at:

www.nationalrail.co.uk

Journey time is around 2hrs 40+, with at least one change (using the Tube to get from one overground station to another). Single fare from 28.30GBP.

The coach from Heathrow seems the simplest option, although you will have a longish wait in London (where you will change coaches). Single fare from 16.10GBP.
