Hello,

I am planning a trip from Barcelona to London via Stansted airport. Our flight will arrive at 2255 hour. If I take the A6 - Stansted-Golders Green-Baker St-Oxford Street-Victoria, stop at Baker Street underground station then transfer to Oxford Circus...is this possible at the time. Anyone know what is is undergrond operating hours?

Presumably you are getting the bus from Stansted. You won't be out of the airport itself much before midnight (perhaps less if you have no hold baggage), so probably won't be in London itself much before 1am.

Last Tube times vary with line and station (and day sometimes). The journey planner here:

shows the last Tube leaves at 00.40.

You might search for an alternative nightbus, or consider walking/taxi from the Oxford Street stop.

where are you going? if your bus from stansted crosses oxford street it wont be far from oxford circus. but where after that? do you have accomodation arranged nearby?

The A6 stops at Marble Arch/Oxford Street. So that is the end of Oxford street and Oxford circus is in the middle. It is best to walk.

Here is a London Transport bus stop map. The A6 is a totally different company, but the map is useful. I think the A6 may stop at bus stop W or maybe on Portman St. Either way it is easy to find Oxford St and there are plenty of buses if you don't want to walk. A bus ticket will cost £2, many buses run through the night.

Look at google maps with the postcode of your hotel for the final part of your journey.

Thanks for the useful info. I will be staying at a friend's place at Eastcastle Street. Last year when I was there, I remember I took the tube and alight at Oxford Circus station then walk a little.

I am still searching for the best/ cheapest transfer mode from Stansted to town. Today I saw easybus and it do operates till 2am. Any comment about easybus? Much appreciated

Easybus is fine.
