Hi,
I am planning to go to Alberobello from Foggia on 6 July, which is a Sunday. The trenitalia site shows that there is a train from Foggia leaving at 11:20am and arriving in Bari at 12:22pm. It then shows that I must take a bus from Bari (leaving at 12:30) to Alberobello (arriving at 2:20pm). Since the bus leaves at 12:30, just 8 min after the train is scheduled to arrive in Bari, I'm afraid that I may not make it. Also, the "buy" button for the train ticket is disabled at the trenitalia site.
(a) How can I buy my ticket from Foggia to Bari
(b) If I miss the bus at Bari, are there any other alternatives?
(c) Are there any other options to travel from Foggia to Alberobello on a Sunday?

Trenitalia do not sell all tickets online far in advance, and not at all for some routes. It is possible that your route won't be available for purchase online.

If the ticket does not become available online you can simply buy it at the station in Foggia, before the day you travel if you like. Trains do not become 'full' unless they are reservation-only (yours aren't): if there are no seats free (unlikely) one simply stands until a seat becomes available.

I agree that 8 minutes is too little. Why not get the train at 09:08, arriving 11.00? That would give you ample time to get bus ticket and bus. (you may be able to buy a through ticket at Foggia, of course).

The Bari-Alberobello train times for 6/7 don't seem to be uploaded yet. The train is replaced by a bus service on Sunday 25/5, so I assume this is a regular thing. From looking at this Sunday there's another bus at 16.30 (and a couple of others), so you could get that if you missed the earlier one.

Check Trenitalia a bit nearer the time when they've uploaded the relevant data, but don't worry about buying your ticket online beforehand. If it's not available you'll be able to buy it in Foggia.
