| Waterford | Cliffs in Tramore, Ireland Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 05:28 PM UTC
I am new here so let me see if I can make a go of it.
I went to the cliffs in Tramore in 2004, and I am wanting to help a friend plan a trip, is there a "real" name for the cliffs, or is it just the cliffs of Tramore? The place we went was where the diving board is, and says men's only club or something like that. Please help. Thanks, Diana |

Hi,
I fairly sure the place your referring to is called Guillamene swimming area at Newtown Cove just outside Tramore. All the best Brian

BTW. It's not a men only club - just incase anybody is offended ;)The sign is from decades ago when the area was a men only bathing spot but everybody is welcome now!!! The sign is only there as an historical reference.

Yes, it's the Guillamines. Best time to go there is Christmas morning for the charity swim.
While you're there take the short walk to the Metal Man, which is the trio of monuments on the cliffs that can be seen from the beach.
