Hi- My husband & I would like to see Moray, Maras & Salinas (1 day hike, in whatever order is best) by hiking on our own. I read the 2006 posting from gonzo747. Is there anyone else who has done this who could help me with any additional details (pertinent landmarks, what to avoid doing, etc)?

I took the local bus to Maras (the bus that takes you to Ollantaytambo I believe) drops you off on the desvio (path that takes you to Maras). There are collectivos there that wait to get filled up and take people to Maras. From there you can hire a cab to take you to Moray (it's inexpensive but can't remember how much). I was so into Moray that I never made it to Salinas, but there is a path to follow that can take you there from Moray.
