I am interested in timetable and fare from Marrakech to Casablanca. I did could not find the information on the omcf website. Also any feedback about a single woman traveling alone on the train. Saftey tips and/or advice.

I thought of taking the train into Casa from Marrakesh as well but in the end I opted for a coach instead as the coach will end up in the city rather than on the outskirt for the train. It is way more convenience and slightly more economical.

The journey is about 4-5 hours, slightly longer than a train but the coaches are fairly comfortable and reliable.

Standard 2nd Class fare from Marrakech to Casa/Voyageurs is 84Dh. Departures are every two hours beginning at 5:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

Schedules and prices can be quickly found on the website www.oncf.ma under "Prix & Reservation".

I travelled on my own by train a couple of weeks ago.
It is perfectly safe.
Both 1st and 2nd class is fine.
If you travel 1st class, you automatically have a reserved seat and it seems that they ensure that a woman omn her own sits with other women or couples.
In 2nd class there is no reservation. Choose a compartement where other women or couples/families are sitting (however I was also stuck for 3 hours from Sis Kacim to Tangier in a compartement with 7 local men only and nobody even raised an eyebrow on me).
