Hi,

We are planning to go to KK this August for 3 days. I would like to get some suggestions on the following :

(1) The best hostel / budget hotel in the City (preferably with a near catholic church)
(2) Places to visit
(3) Food to try
(4) How much should I budget for each day (USD)

THanks !! Your inputs are appreciated !!

There are many budget hotels in KK. I personally like the Lavender Lodge because of its clealiness and friendly staff. If you want to find out more, you can visit my travel page in KK, the contact details are there. If you want to go to the church, there are a few within the town.
You wouldn't want to miss the Gaya Street Sunday morning market. You can walk along the street and see local handicrafts, vegetables, souvenirs.
Food - you must try the seafood there. It is fresh and delicious. The fishball noodles are very nice too.
Well, if for lodging and normal meals, I would say US$80 is good enough. The seafood dinner will cost around US$25 per person. If you have a license to drive, car rental is good for you to travel around. That is around US$60 per day.
