I like the new photo gallery feature, BUT . . .
A few photos that I deleted years ago have suddenly reappeared in the photo galleries. How can I delete these unwanted photos permanently and completely? |

the feature is here. As for the delete...I think they were all deleted from the browse pages but some may still be left in the index. I'll see what I can find out and see if we can take care of that.

Yes, the ones I noticed have long since disappeared from my tips and pages, but have now turned up again in the photo galleries, for instance two on my Chicago page. These were photos I was just experimenting with when I first joined VT, and I soon deleted them. (One isn't even my photo, and the other has nothing to do with Chicago.) By the way, I look forward to meeting you two weeks from now in Karlsruhe! Don |

Hi Don, me too!!! It looks like we will have to go on Wednesday and turn around and come back on Sunday or Monday, so I hope to pack in as much fun as possible in a short time.

I also noticed that ALL the pictures I have deleted in past are shown in the photogallery. I deleted pictures because I chose them not to be online, and there are pictures like postcards which I once uploaded and later discovered that this is copyright stuff and should not be uploaded to VT and chose to delete them all for those reasons. I do hope there will be an option for deleting those pictures from the gallery.

On my photo gallery it shows 6395 photos and under my travel map the number is 6163 photos - the ones that appear on my pages and tips. 232 photos that I deleted are still presented there!

I've just done a couple of spot checks and discovered that those old deleted photos are really gone now, even from the photo galleries.
Thanks to the VT staff for getting this little problem straightened out -- and it was great to meet all of you (Giampiero, Tilman, J.R., Stefanie, Gerry, . . .) in Karlsruhe last weekend! |
