| Sevilla | Train from Sevilla to Cazalla y Constantina Posted: Sat May 17, 2008 04:22 AM UTC
Hello once again. When I look at the timetable on renfe.es cercanìas it shows a train from Sevilla to Cazalla y Constantina. But, when I try to purchase a ticket from Sevilla Santa Justa to Cazalla, Cazalla doesn't show in the drop down menu. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. Can someone help?
Thank you!!! |

http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html
Click Sevilla on the drop-down menu for departure station. Then put in the date. Then put 'caz' into the box underneath 'other stations'...'travels' then click search beneath that. You'll get a list of all destinations from Seville, including Cazalla. Click on the station name for train times/details.

Purchasing tickets for trains in Spain can usually be done at the station for local services (cercanias or regional) and in any event the TIKNET booking service would not work more than two weeks before date of travel assuming it allows you to make a booking. The TIKNET system is really designed for people who travel on the AvOE or long distance trains and who use the Spanish train service frequently.n the long distance trains you need to reserve a specific seat, whereas on the regional local trains it is 'first come - first served'.

I should add that on those long distant trains you can book up to 60 days ahead of day of travel.

Thanks J and Nige. So even if I see the schedule on the time table, I really can't purchase them because the tickets from Sevilla to Cazalla are on a first come first served basis?

It's not the tickets, it's the seats......what I said before about getting a seat, or standing until one becomes free, is likely to apply to regional trains. What the chances are of your particular train being absolutely packed on the day/time you want to travel I have no idea.
But I don't think you need to worry about getting a ticket to Cazalla from Seville station. It's only reservation-only/sleeper trains which become 'full'.
