Santa Ana is about 60 kms from San Salvador, and there are chicken buses going there all the time. I have a car and am not well versed on the bus prices, but it shouldn't be more than a buck or a couple of bucks. A co-worker girl here in San Salvador used to take the bus all nights, across the street of the Guadalupe Basilica, to go to her home in Santa Ana.

I just asked my friend Mayra for the price by chicken bus from San Salvador to Santa Ana: $ 0.85 dollars.
