Hi guys!
i am arriving into new york on a saturday and would like to go to woodbury common on the sunday, we have dinner reservations for 8pm so dont want to be too late back, how far is it from new york, whats the cheapest way of getting there and is it better to take one of the organised tour buses or just jump on one of the regular buses? thanks in advance! |

I went to New York last summer and my husband and I did the Woodbury shopping trip on the day we were leaving to fly back to the UK. As far as I can remember we were back by 5pm. I booked it knowing we would be back in time to get a taxi to the airport in time for all the checking in etc. I think our flight was something like 9pm. It takes an hour to get there by coach and you pick that up at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. We booked all our trips on line before we left, so it was all organised as we only had six days there. I know it was an eight hour round trip, and the buses leave from 7.15am, we got the 8.30 am bus.
Have a great time!!!

CoachUSA (formerly The SHortLine) runs from Port Authority to Woodbury Commons, exit 16 on the New York State Thruway, and points north and west of that. Depending on traffic and time of day, the trip could be 60-75 minutes each way. The Commons is an outdoor mall with signs in 5 or 6 languages; it's like going on a shopping spree at the U.N.! I do not have a CoachUSA website address, but I can just guess what it is! lol

we took the organised bus tours.... they leave every half an hour from the main bus terminal in NY.. we left at 9:30/10am and got to woodbury by 11 so exactly what the other person wrote... 1 - 1.5 & we took a bus back at 6:30 & was back just before 8pm...
woodbury is fantastic... check out my NY page... I have a photo with all my bags at the woodbury outlet.. oh I loved that place... ill defiantly be back to those outlets before I die!!! have fun there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
