I will be in Prague for a few days and have to go to Dusseldorf. As I've been to much of mid/southern Germany, I thought it might be nice to go to Berlin for a day. Is this doable/logical?
If so, what is the best way to get from Prague to Berlin & how long does it take? What is best way to get from Berlin to Dusseldorf & how long does it take? |

will give you train times from Prague to Berlin. Journey takes nearly 5 hours, with no changes, so I don't think it's a feasible day trip. But if you do want to find fares, look at: http://www.cd.cz/static/eng/ Berlin to Dusseldorf (use the bahn.de link, but make sure you put an umlaut on the 'u' in Dusseldorf or you will only get journeys to the airport!) take around 4 and a quarter hours. Normal one-way fares around 97 euros though you might find cheaper ones if you are booking in advance.
