Ireland Showering in Hostels/B&B around Ireland
Posted: Fri May 16, 2008 10:11 AM UTC
Hello travellers!

Maybe this is a silly question but as i have learned to not take anything for granted lately i wanted to ask this: how is the condition of showering and hygiene in B&B around Ireland? Is there hot water you can use?

Thanks in advance!

Ireland is not a rural idyll still living in the past: it is an advanced technological society set in rather lovely countryside. I say this in case you might be disappointed when you arrive: it's a lovely country, but it is extremely up-to-date.

So you'll not only find hot water/showers/baths etc but all the other comforts one takes for granted in most European countries (drinkable water, public toilets, shops, efficient public transport, waste disposal, no-smoking laws etc etc).

I'm sure you'll have an excellent trip!

I've stayed at some hostels and B&Bs in Ireland, and happy to tell you that hot water was always available! :)
However, the shower at some hostels was not that clean mainly because so many people use it but don't care to keep it clean for others, and the water pressure at some B&Bs was very low. If you worry about the cleanliness of the shower where you plan to stay, check the review on VT and other travel sites.
