My wife I would like to visit wineries in Crete.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Most wine producers welcome visitors whether small family run businesses or larger concerns or cooperatives.
At most places you can just turn up where you see sign displayed inviting visitors -or you can join (an pay for) a guided tour from your hotel or resort area.
Its useful to have a guidelbook with details of the wine producing areas but you will find a lot of information on the links below.

This is the most south/eastern european winery.
Its in Ziros plateau (600 m ) and in the winery;s blog you can see the location, the contact information and photos.
