Prepaid sims in Malaysia are cheap to use and can be bought anywhere with various denominations. Of course the "block" charges for the phones calls are diff from Postpaid cards.

The more popular ones are Maxis Hotlink and Digi. Depending on your requirement of the duration of using the number, both offer good deals.

Of course, being a prepaid sim, you cannot use it in Singapore (unless you purchase a higher denomination prepaid amount and activate the roaming facility) I think the best way is to buy a local Singapore Sim card when in Singapore

Have fun

I got a digi prepay card - RM30 - which I was able to use in Singapore. Remember to take your passport along else you cannot get one.

Hi!

Most prepaid sim cards in Malaysia (Digi's Prepaid, Maxis' Hotlink & Celcom's X-pax) are auto roaming - can be used in Singapore as well. However, the roaming charges are quite high and you need to have sufficient credit for the roaming service.
