| Paris | "Happy Hour" in Paris Posted: Thu May 15, 2008 10:15 PM UTC
Are Happy Hours prevelant in Paris? Available only in bars or also in cafes, brasseries? Drinks only, or some bar food as in the US? Can you recommend a good HH near the Madeleine/Opera/St Honore/Blvd Haussmann area? Any tips/suggestions? With the $:Euro rate, any info on savings without sacrificing a fun experience is appreciated.
If you know of a web site which lists (in English) Happy Hours in Paris, I would be grateful. Many thanks. |

Hi,
One of my favorite "Happy Hours" is at Le Brébant right off Grands Boulevards and not too far walking distance from Boulevard Hausmann. I've been there on numerous occasions for Happy Hour cocktails, although I never noticed if their food was included in their "Happy" rates. Their Happy Hour runs from 7pm to 9pm every night, 7 days a week. Cocktails are at half price usually....(if you like Mojitos, you gotta try their Mojito Royale!) They have a great food menu and I think their lunch menu serves similar items to their dinner menu but cheaper. Location: Le Brébant, 32 boulevard Poissonnière, 75009 Paris Directions: Metro Stop: Grands Boulevards Enjoy Paris! G_G

Plenty of HHs throughout Paris, lasting usually 2 hrs, the best ones are in the Bastille area and the Latin Quarter (particularly round Mouffetard / Panthéon) but they are to be found throughout Paris.
Not so long ago, I used to go to the HH at a great bar called Le Pantalon (great deco), rue R. Collard (Panthéon), HH 5.30 to 7.30, a pint of Stella was only €2.75 (2 yrs ago), ballpark figure will be about €3.50-€4/pint of decent lager during HH in those areas http://www.timeout.com/paris/restaurants_bars/ http://www.parispubs.com/ http://www.parispubs.com/a_to_z.php http://en.parisinfo.com/paris-restaurants/
