Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Aveiro Internet Access
Posted: Thu May 15, 2008 09:23 PM UTC
Hello everyone.
Going to be in Aveiro for a whole month, and need to know where internet cafes are.
The last time I was there, i found a spot near city hall? that lets you use the internet for perhaps 30 mins., something along those lines.
So for any of you locals, any other places?
Thanks in advance..

Hi!

What brings you again to Aveiro?? It's not everyday one can answer a question about Aveiro. Unfortunately, for now I won't be able to give you a good answer since I hardly ever use internet outside home/job/university. I'm not the kind of person who likes to carry his laptop everywhere... actually I don't have one lol. I already spend the majority of the days standing in front of a computer and that's more than enough.
As you might have noticed Aveiro is a small city but it can keep you busy for one whole month.
The place you were talking about in front of the city hall is known as "Aveiro Digital". The only internet cafe I know is near the main church (quite an ugly one lol... if you didn't visit it during your previous stay don't even bother to go there this time), close to the museum of Aveiro and just next to one bookshop. You can also use some computers at the university and if you have a wireless capable laptop you have free internet access at the Glicinias Shopping Center (with Jumbo supermarket). I'm sure you can access internet on many other places. I just hardly notice them.

I presume you already know this huuuuge city quite well but let me know if you're interested in making local friends and experience a little bit more of our culture.

Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.

See ya!
